Q: How do I register to vote?
Visit our action center to get started.
Q: Can I vote by mail?
Yes, but you must have an excuse. Your deadline to request a ballot for the presidential primary is on October 30th, and it must be returned by November 2nd. Request your mail-in ballot
Q: Can I vote early?
Yes, in-person early voting is available from October 20th-27th, except on Sunday, Oct. 25.
Q: Do I need an ID?
If you’re voting by mail, you do not need to include a copy of your ID. But the signature on your ballot must match the signature on your registration form.
If you’re voting in person, you should bring a Louisiana driver’s license or special ID card, or any ID card with your name and signature on it. But if you don’t have anything like that, you can fill out and sign an affidavit with your date of birth and mother’s maiden name to verify your identity.
Q: This is my home state, but I won't be home for this election. Can I still vote here?
Louisiana offers absentee ballots by mail to voters who will be unable to vote in person. Request your absentee ballot
VOTE to #WINBLACK and PUSH FORWARD
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE MOMENTS. When people look back and say, what did you do in 2020? In the middle of a pandemic and mass protests against racism and inequality. And we can say we marched. We had tough conversations. We wore masks. We tore down racist monuments. We ran for office. We boycotted businesses. We voted.
